He did like having Zoey all to himself, and Alexa was happy they’d found each other. Zoey deserved happiness in her life after all the shit she’d gone through.

“Hey yourself.” There was some shuffling, then the sound of Sergei saying something low in the background. “How is everything? I hate that I stuck you with my work.”

Alexa shook her head. She saw Sergei in the background of the screen cooking dinner. A smile spread across Alexa’s face. Despite the sappiness of it, Alexa wanted that with Yvgeny.

“Why are you so happy?” Zoey asked, the expression on her face telling Alexa she wasn’t going to fall for any lie Alexa told.

Why lie? Because telling Zoey that I’m involved with Yvgeny kind of goes against the warning I gave her before she got involved with Sergei.

“You met someone,” Zoey said without making it a question.

No point in lying. She’ll find out soon enough anyway.

Alexa nodded. “It’s Yvgeny, actually.” There was no crazy look from Zoey, no rubbing in her face that Alexa had once told her to be careful around these men. Her sister just smiled sweetly.

“You’re happy?”

Alexa felt her own smile grow. She nodded. “Yeah, I really am.”

“Then I’m glad.”

“And you’re happy?”

Zoey’s smile could have lit up the room. “I am.”

Sergei walked up behind Zoey and leaned down to kiss her on the crown of her head. It warmed Alexa to know that her sister had found someone that deserved her, that would treat her right and make sure she was always protected.

“Is it hectic taking over for me?” Zoey asked.

“Of course not. I’m glad you got away. I’m glad you’re having a good time. You deserve it.”

A moment of silence stretched out.

“You deserve it, too,” Zoey said. “And I’m glad you two finally realized you need each other in your lives.” She chuckled. “I mean, I might have only been around you two a short time, but after the whole … situation, I noticed the way Yvgeny looked at you.”

That surprised Alexa, because she hadn’t seen anything different in him. But hearing her sister say that made her feel extremely happy.

After another few moments of talking, they finally disconnected the call. Alexa stood there for a second and just thought about everything, about what she wanted, whom she loved, and what she hoped for the future.

Whether that future played out was still up in the air, but she had hopes that things would play out the way she saw them in her head.

She turned and made a startled sound when she saw Yvgeny standing there. He was several feet away, leaning against the wall, an intense expression on his face.

“You scared me,” she said softly.

“I’m sorry” was his reply. He smiled and continued to look at her. “I could stare at you all day, and it still wouldn’t be enough, Alexa.”

Her heart did a little jump in her chest.

“I know we aren’t supposed to meet for dinner until later, but I knew you were here alone doing paperwork, and I wanted to see you.” He pushed away from the wall but didn’t come closer. “I feel myself not being able to stay away from you.”

“I hope that’s not a bad thing?” she said on a breath.

He shook his head. “I feel like I don’t see you enough as it is.”

And just like that, her heart stopped, and heat spread through her.

The club was cleared out, but Alexa had stayed late to finish paperwork. They were supposed to do that dinner tonight, but the longer she stared at him, the more she just wanted to stay here, to let her arousal—which was swiftly consuming her—take over fully.

They stood there, neither speaking, neither moving, for long minutes. It seemed like eternity, but it was the good kind of silence and wait, the kind that had her desire becoming an inferno within her.

Make him want you so bad he can’t even stand it.

Make him so on edge he’s about to lose control.

Alexa had never been one to be wanton or so free, but right now, she wanted to make Yvgeny burn as brightly as she was.

“Come here,” he said in that sexy accented voice of his.

She moved toward him, but before he could pull her in for an embrace, she grabbed his hand and started moving him toward the back rooms. The club also had some VIP booths, ones where the girls could make a little extra on the side but also give the club a cut. No sex was allowed, but plenty of bumping and grinding wasn’t discouraged, as long as the guys kept their hands to themselves.

They walked down a dimly lit hallway and stopped at one of the doors to the VIP rooms. Alexa looked back at him, and although she didn’t tell him what she was doing, it was clear by the look on his face he knew. He was breathing a little harder and looking at her like he wanted to devour her inch by slow inch. She looked down and saw the huge erection he sported, and her pussy got wetter, her nipples harder.
